LRID is offering a free and flexible learning opportunity for interpreters residing in Louisiana. Select a webcast from the catalog provided by The Betty and Leonard Phillips

Deaf Action Center, in Shreveport.

The training can be completed any time between

May 1 and September 30, 2024.

100 spots are open!  First come, first served

Here are the Details:

Registration open 

May 1 - September 30, 2024

All webcast and CEU requirements must be completed by September 30, 2024 (regardless of registration date).  If ALL processes for CEUs are not complete by this date, the registration will be canceled.

Register for one recorded version webcast (up to 3 hours in length) offered through The Betty and Leonard Phillips Deaf Action Center and LRID will pay for it.

If registration numbers are low as of August 1, 2024, LRID will assess if LA residents may sign up for a second recorded version webcast, also to be completed by September 30, 2024.  We want all 100 slots filled!

All registrants must follow the processes outlined by the Deaf Action Center for receiving CEUs: 

  • enter the code presented during the webcast you selected,

  • complete the included quiz at the end of webcast you selected, 

  • complete the evaluation

Deaf Action Center will process your registration. Be prepared to verify your residence in Louisiana.

Dear Betty and Leonard Phillips DAC Shreveport,

I would like to take one recorded version of a webcast (up to 3 hours) through your agency, funded by the Louisiana Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf.  I understand the following:

  • I must complete all requirements set by DAC Shreveport for achieving CEUs for the training. 

  • I must complete the training by September 30, 2024.

  • DAC Shreveport will provide a code via email response that I will use to complete registration along with further instructions.
