Through the $25,000 grant from the Relay Access Board (RAB), the LRID Board of Directors has been developing ways to distribute the funds for the benefit of interpreters in Louisiana.

Janie C. Powell Memorial Scholarship
The Janie C. Powell Memorial Scholarship awards up to $500 to individual qualified applicants with monies from the 2023 RAB grant, following the parameters below.
A total of $1,000 will be awarded.

Professional Development Fund
The LRID Professional Development Fund awards up to $500 to individual, qualified LRID members with monies from the 2023 RAB grant following the parameters below. A total of $2000 will be awarded.

To provide financial support of up to $500 to individual, qualified LRID members for testing fees for professional exams/assessments following the parameters below. A total of $2000 will be awarded
